The project to migrate Nexus email and calendaring to the cloud-based Office 365 service has now been re-scheduled. Delivery of the new service will start in April 2018 and is expected to take three months. New staff and student email accounts are currently being set up on the existing Nexus service and will be migrated to Nexus365 with their department, faculty or college.
The delay in introducing this service has been brought about by technical issues in the registration of new starters to the University and the user experience for existing staff and students during migration to Nexus365.
As well as the email and calendaring service, Nexus users will have access to a range of Office 365 applications including OneDrive for Business, Office Online, Groups, Teams and Delve. We are also pleased to announce that Skype for Business will now be delivered as part of this project.
The project will be liaising with local IT support staff, where available, regarding migration and users will receive further detailed information in advance of their move to Nexus365, including information on what to expect and support for using Nexus365 and the apps it offers.
