The Research Portfolio aims to deliver sustained improvement in the digital services and capabilities that enable world-leading research at Oxford. It focuses on a few ambitious projects, including development of dashboards to support research leaders’ assessment of research excellence, creating a research computing strategy, replacing standalone systems with end-to-end research systems, and supporting open access compliance. The programme is informed by consultation across the institution and aims to benefit the widest number, address significant risks, and ensure future scalability.
A major new programme, the Oxford Research Management System (ORMS) will provide a single, digital platform to effectively support the scale and complexity of Oxford’s research activity.
Now an ongoing service, the Research File Service (RFS) provides a reliable, resilient, secure, and scalable University-approved central storage facility for active research data.
